BookTribu is a publishing house and community founded in 2014 in Bologna: it publishes and distributes across Italy the books of its authors, chosen through free contests where the community reads, votes and reserves the works.
The challenge
Traditional publishing is static: emerging authors struggle to get noticed and readers have no place to discover, vote for and read new works. What was needed was a digital reading experience and a space where the community would choose the books to publish.
The solution
With the BookTribu app, based on MobileReplica, readers and authors meet: a digital reader on mobile, free literary contests where the community reads, votes and reserves the works, and the distribution of published titles. A bridge between those who write and those who read.
